1) Who we are 

Neuroqueerz is a wellness network and community for people who identify as LGBTQIA+ and Neurodivergent and anyone who considers themselves an Ally. Our services include (but not limited to) forums, virtual safe spaces, blogs, chat rooms, peer support, signposting, resources and toolkits. This list may change as we progress, our services may increase or decrease and new services may arise and we may remove services due to demand or for any reason that affects us.

2) Acceptance of these terms

By signing up to become a member or by visiting the site to make use of the free and limited resources, you agree to these terms and conditions and our privacy policy.

If you do not agree, do not use the services

If you are using NeuroQueerz on behalf of an Organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation into these terms.

3) Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to use our services and agree to not use this service if you do not meet this criteria.

You agree to use our services for legitimate reasons and you represent that you’re legally permitted to use the services in your jurisdiction.

4) Community values and code of conduct

NeuroQueerz is a peer‑support community. To keep spaces safer and respectful, you agree:

  • Be kind and respectful. No harassment, doxxing, stalking, bullying, threats, intimidation, or targeted insults.
  • No hate or discrimination. No transphobia, homophobia, biphobia, acephobia, racism, ableism, misogyny, xenophobia, or any form of bigotry. 
  • No sexual or explicit content involving minors, ever. No sexual harassment. Follow all applicable laws regarding content.
  • You may share personal experiences, but don’t present yourself as a professional or provide diagnoses, treatment plans.
  • You agree to use no spam or platform abuse. Don’t advertise, solicit, or run scams. No bots, scraping, data mining, or unauthorised automation.
  • Respect privacy. Don’t collect, share, or post others’ personal or identifying information without consent.
  • Safe spaces. Some spaces have extra rules. You also accept that in a group setting, it is your decision if you wish to share information.
  • Intellectual property. Share only content you have the right and permission to share. Don’t infringe others’ copyrights or trademarks.
  • Reporting. Contact us at info@neuroqueerz.com to report concerns. You give us time to investigate and act to deal with complaints and concerns raised by members and our team. 
  • We may remove or restrict content and accounts that violate these rules, at our discretion. We also may remove or restrict content if we believe there is a conflict of interest.

5) What our support is and what it is not. We are not therapy, not crisis support, and safety

  • NeuroQueerz provides peer support, signposting, wellness resources and community spaces. We do not provide medical, psychiatric, psychological, legal, or professional services. Nothing on the platform is professional advice.
  • NeuroQueerz is not an emergency service.
  • We may, where permitted by law, escalate imminent risk reports (e.g., contacting emergency services) but do not promise monitoring or intervention and are not liable for such actions or inactions.

6) Your account and security

  • Provide accurate information and keep it updated.
  • Keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

7) User content and license

  • You retain responsibility of content you post.
  • You grant NeuroQueerz a worldwide, non‑exclusive, royalty‑free license to host, store, reproduce, modify (e.g., for formatting or moderation), display, and distribute your content for operating and improving the services, including backups and content moderation.
  • If you submit feedback or suggestions, we may use them without restriction or compensation.

8) Public and private spaces

  • Forums, chats, and blogs may be public, private, or restricted. Even in “safe” or “private” spaces, absolute confidentiality cannot be guaranteed. Screenshots, forwarding, or leaks may occur. Share thoughtfully. Neuroqueerz cannot take responsibility for the actions used by our members when we are not made aware. 
  • We may implement access controls, but technical and human errors can happen. You assume the risks of sharing.

9) Prohibited uses

You agree not to:

  1. Violate any law or regulation.
  2. Harass, harm, or exploit others, including minors.
  3. Share others’ personal data without consent.
  4. Post or share content that is defamatory, infringing, fraudulent, deceptive, or pornographic (and never sexual content involving minors).
  5. Upload malware or attempt to hack, disrupt, or reverse‑engineer the services.
  6. Use the services to train AI models or build competing services without our written permission.
  7. Interfere with moderation or evade enforcement (e.g., ban evasion).

10) Moderation and enforcement

  • We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend/terminate accounts for any reason, including suspected violations of these Terms or risks to user safety.
  • We may use automated tools plus human moderators. We don’t guarantee real‑time review.
  • You may appeal moderation decisions at [EMAIL]. We are not required to reinstate content or accounts.

11) Accessibility and accommodations

  • We strive to make the platform accessible and mindful of neurodiversity. If you need accommodations, please let us know. We cannot guarantee all requests will be feasible. Please give us the opportunity to try.

12) Intellectual property and takedowns

  • Our services, trademarks, and content are protected by intellectual property laws.
  • If you believe content infringes your rights, send a notice to info@neuroqueerz.com  with details. We may remove content and notify the user. Repeat infringers may be terminated.

13) Third‑party links and services

  • The services may link to third‑party sites or use third‑party tools. We don’t control or endorse them and are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Use at your own risk.
  • If you believe any third party resources are shared by an organisation that you have concerns about (e.g. discrimination, extremism) please let us know and we will investigate this. 

14) Privacy

  • Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices. By using NeuroQueerz, you agree to our Privacy Policy.
  • Sensitive data: Participation may reveal information about your sexual orientation, gender identity, health, or neurodivergence. By using the services, you consent to our processing of such data as described in our Privacy Policy.

15) Payments (if applicable)

  • If you purchase subscriptions or donations, fees are charged as displayed at checkout, in the currency shown, plus any applicable taxes.
  • Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically until canceled.
  • Refunds are at our discretion or as required by law. Our total liability related to paid services will not exceed the amounts you have paid us in the last 2 months or £100 – whichever is less.

16) Disclaimers

  • The services and all content are provided “as is” and “as available.”
  • We do not guarantee that the services will be safe, secure, uninterrupted, or error‑free.
  • We do not endorse or assume responsibility for user content. Opinions expressed by users are their own.

17) Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • NeuroQueerz and its officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or reputation.
  • Our total liability for any claims relating to the services will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid us in the 2 months before the claim or £100.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; these may not apply to you.

18) Indemnification

  • You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold NeuroQueerz and its affiliates harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the services, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable laws.

19) Suspension and termination

  • You may stop using the services at any time and request account deletion.
  • We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, including for violations, safety concerns, concerns that could affect our reputation and integrity or operational reasons.
  • Sections that by nature should survive termination will survive (e.g., IP licenses, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity).

20) Changes to the services and these Terms

  • We may change or discontinue features at any time.
  • We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted with a new “Last updated” date. Your continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.

21) Governing law and disputes

  • Governing law: England and Wales. Excluding its conflict‑of‑law rules.

22) Notices

  • We may provide notices via the services, email, or your account contact details. You are responsible for keeping your contact information current.

23) Miscellaneous

  • Severability: If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
  • No waiver: Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
  • Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them as part of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
  • Entire agreement: These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the services.

24) Rules for our Safe space’s 

  • Safe‑space entry rules: You gree to confidentiality, content warnings, and “assume good behaviour” norms before entering.
  • Members may share personal experiences but must not diagnose others or prescribe treatments.
  • Members accept this is a group service provided by Neuroqueerz. What members share is at their own risk.
  • Facilitators, members and invited speakers must dress appropriately. Nudity is strictly forbidden. 
  • Crisis: If a member expresses imminent risk, guidance is to encourage contacting emergency services or crisis lines; do not attempt to “rescue” alone.
  • Timeouts: Moderators may issue temporary read‑only modes, content holds, or time‑limited bans to cool down conflicts.
  • Cutting it short: In an emergency, unexpected events or if it is considered inappropriate to carry on with the safe space, the facilitator/host has the right to end early including immediately without notice. This is in the interest of our members, our community, our stakeholders and our company. 
  • If you are not happy with the facilitator or another service user, you report this to info@neuroqueerz.com or fill in the online form
